As residents of the DMV adjust to at-home workstations and school closures amid the spreading coronavirus, local restaurants, bars and nightclubs are altering their day-to-day operations as well.

In Washington, DC, nightclubs are closed until further notice, and Mayor Muriel E. Bowser placed new restrictions over the weekend on bars and restaurants, banning bar seating and service to standing patrons. In neighboring Maryland, restaurants and bars (as well as movie theaters and gyms), officially closed their doors on March 16, **whereas the only regulation put in place in Virginia is a ban on gatherings of more than 100 people.

While all NoVA-based breweries have accommodated to the change in capacity and increased sanitary measures during this volatile time, some are improvising by implementing to-go and delivery options for stuck-at-home residents. Beer lovers, find detailed information about a few now-available offerings below from local breweries.

Aslin Beer Co. is offering both pickup and delivery via its website, giving you the choice of 17 different sips (in both four-packs and single-can options) from the Alexandria-based brewery.

From its two locations in Fairfax and Vienna, Caboose Brewing Company is offering take-home options for those willing to make the drive, including cans, growlers, kegs and food (think mac and cheese) for purchase. In addition, Caboose is keeping its spaces open, enacting a 50-person limit at both locations, decreasing menu options and taking only credit cards as payment.

In Ashburn, find curbside pickup from Old Ox Brewery, which will be selling only package sales until further notice. All you have to do is place an order online, choosing from a variety of can options, like the six-pack of Alpha Ox Hoppy Pale Ale or four-pack of Hop Camo Hazy IPA, then show your ID to an employee and drive away with the sips.

Fauquier County’s Old Bust Head Brewing Company has limited the number of guests in its taproom and overhang area to 50 and 36, respectively. Plus, while the brewery’s team is “exploring the possibility of delivery and online ordering,” curbside purchase of to-go, packaged beer is available starting today, Tuesday, March 17.
